We believe that books connect us and book clubs prove this to be true.

Whilst we host our own book clubs, we know there are lots of other books clubs in Essex – more than anywhere else in the country. We are happy to direct customers to you as well as offering group discounts to book clubs with minimum orders. Please email us to discuss your next read

Our Book Clubs

Our youngest group (age 7-10), meet at 3pm
Red Lion Books lead the discussions for this age group by gently encouraging members to share their voice but respecting the children who prefer to observe. We usually meet on the last Saturday of the month at 3pm. To reserve a place please buy a copy of the book from Red Lion Books and register your child’s name

Our middle group (age 11-13), meet at 2.30pm
Red Lion Books join in the discussions which are very much led by the children themselves. We usually meet on the last Saturday of the month (subject to change). To reserve a place at book club please purchase a copy of the book from Red Lion Books and register your child’s name.

Our teen group (age 14-16), meet at 2pm
Red Lion Books offers the space for young adults to meet but we don’t join in the conversations (unless asked to!). We usually meet on the last Saturday of the month (subject to change). To reserve a place at book club please purchase a copy of the book from Red Lion Books and register your name
